Samphran Elephant Ground & Zoo’s Jumbo Queen was officially appointed as Thailand’s Elephant conservation Ambassador by Dr. Suvit Yodmani, Chaiman of the Elephant Alliance of Thailand. As an Elephant Conservation Ambassador, the Jumbo Queen will take part in various public relations activities to raise the awareness of the general public to the need and the proper way to protect Thai elephants as well as help raise funds for elephant conservation causes.

   The Elephant  Alliance of Thailand is the umbrella organization of three elephant conservation groups in Thailand: the Asian Elephant Foundation of Thailand; Thai Airways International’s Thai Jumbo Village, Surin; and the Treasure Our Elephants Fund; whose common goal is to preserve Thai elephants, the symbol of the Kingdom.Miss Supavadee Chanpen, Jumbo Queen 2000 was the first appointed elephant conservation Ambassador.
